Cowboys vs Packers is the Sunday night game of NFL Week 6, and it starts at 8:20 p.m. Eastern on October 18 (00:20 UTC on Monday, October 19) at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. NBC has the national broadcast. The last time these two teams met, in September 2025, nobody won: the game in Arlington finished 40-40 after overtime. Green Bay comes in at 3-2, Dallas at 2-3, and both have already played Tampa Bay this month with very different results.

Kickoff time where you are

Sunday Night Football is the last Sunday game in the Americas and a very early Monday start in Europe. The table below converts the 00:20 UTC kickoff. The Methstreams schedule shows each start on your own clock, so you can check it there as well.

The UK is still on summer time that night. British clocks go back on October 25 and American clocks on November 1, so for one week in between the gap between New York and London is four hours instead of five.

How Dallas got to 2-3

The Cowboys have alternated losses and wins all season. They lost 28-20 at the Giants in Week 1, beat Washington 37-20, lost 34-31 to Baltimore in a home game played at the MaracanĂ£ Stadium, won 34-30 at Houston and then lost 24-16 at home to Tampa Bay on Thursday, October 8. That leaves them with 138 points scored and 136 allowed, an average of 27.6 for and 27.2 against.

The Thursday game has one practical effect on Sunday. Dallas will have had ten days between games, while Green Bay played on October 11 and gets the usual seven.

Dak Prescott has completed 129 of 192 passes for 1,381 yards, with 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. CeeDee Lamb leads the team in receiving yards with 507 on 39 catches, plus 4 touchdowns. Javonte Williams leads the ground game with 276 rushing yards and has scored 6 rushing touchdowns.

In the NFC East, the Giants lead at 3-1-1. Dallas and Philadelphia are both 2-3, and the two teams meet in Philadelphia the week after this one.

Green Bay's season so far

The Packers opened with a 39-22 loss at Minnesota and lost 35-14 at home to Atlanta on a Thursday in Week 3. In between and since, they beat the Jets 20-17 on the road, won 17-14 at Tampa Bay and beat Chicago 31-7 at Lambeau last Sunday. Their totals are 104 points scored and 112 allowed.

The Tampa Bay results are the closest thing to a common measuring stick. Green Bay won by three in Tampa on October 4. Four days later, the Buccaneers went to Arlington and beat Dallas by eight.

Jordan Love is 112 of 185 for 1,408 yards, 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, which puts him 27 yards ahead of Prescott with 17 fewer completions. Christian Watson leads Green Bay in receiving yards with 474 on 26 catches, and 6 of those catches went for touchdowns. MarShawn Lloyd leads the Packers in rushing with 112 yards and 2 scores on 40 carries.

The NFC North is crowded behind Minnesota, which is 5-0. Green Bay, Detroit and Chicago are all 3-2, and the Packers go to Detroit in Week 7.

Injury report

ESPN's injury list for the game, last updated on the evening of October 15, has running back Josh Jacobs and defensive tackle Jordon Riley out for Green Bay, with cornerback Keisean Nixon and wide receiver Skyy Moore questionable. Receiver Savion Williams is on injured reserve. For Dallas, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, cornerbacks Cobie Durant and Ameer Speed and tackle Drew Shelton are questionable, and defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard is on injured reserve. The list can still change before kickoff, so check it again on Sunday if a player matters to you.

Cowboys vs Packers: the last seven meetings

Since the start of the 2016 season the teams have played seven times, twice in the playoffs. Green Bay has won five, Dallas one, and one ended level. The Packers have outscored Dallas 238-216 over those games, three of the seven were decided by three or four points, and two went to overtime.

Only two of those seven were in Green Bay. Dallas won the 2016 game there by 14, and the Packers took the 2022 rematch in overtime. The 2025 tie also kicked off at 8:20 p.m. Eastern, so this is the second straight meeting between them played in prime time on a Sunday. Green Bay has not lost to Dallas since that 2016 game, a run of five wins and the tie.
