The 2026 NFL season

The regular season runs for 18 weeks, from early September 2026 to early January 2027. Each of the 32 teams plays 17 games and has one bye week. The playoffs start with Wild Card weekend in mid-January, followed by the Divisional Round and the Conference Championships, and Super Bowl LXI is set for February 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Fourteen teams reach the playoffs, seven from each conference: the four division winners and three wild cards. Only the top seed in each conference skips Wild Card weekend, which is why that weekend has six games instead of eight.

The weekly pattern, in UTC

A normal week has one Thursday night game, a large Sunday slate and a Monday night game. While the United States is on daylight saving time, the Sunday early games kick off at 17:00 UTC, the late games at 20:05 or 20:25 UTC, and Sunday Night Football at 00:20 UTC, which is already Monday in UTC. On November 1, 2026 the US clocks go back an hour, and from then on each of those slots moves an hour later in UTC: 18:00, 21:05 or 21:25, and 01:20.

Games played in London and elsewhere in Europe start earlier. In October they kick off at 13:30 UTC, and after the US clock change at 14:30 UTC. Late in the season, Saturday games join the schedule, and the final week usually has a Saturday doubleheader followed by a full Sunday. The page converts all of this to your own time, so you do not have to work it out, but it helps to know why a familiar kickoff looks an hour different from one week to the next in autumn.

How the NFL page is organised

The board shows seven days at once, so midweek you can see Thursday's game, all of Sunday and Monday night together. Games are listed under the day they are played, and within a day in kickoff order. Each row has both team logos, the kickoff time and, during the game, the score and the quarter. A pulsing dot marks the games that are on right now, which on a Sunday afternoon is the quickest way to see which of the late games have started.

College football also uses this page. On Saturdays from late August to early January, college games appear in their own blocks under a separate heading. When a Sunday whip-around channel that jumps between games is listed, it appears as its own row at the top of the Sunday block.

What a game page gives you

A game page has both teams in the header with their records, the kickoff on your clock and the stadium. During play the score updates by itself about once a minute. Below the header is the feed list for that game. A Main row is the feed we picked for that game; the other rows are channels with a mirror number. Each opens the player in a new tab so you can come back and switch without losing your place.

For the early Sunday games the feed list often fills in during the last hour before kickoff, as channels switch over from the pregame shows. If you open a game page at 16:00 UTC and see only one row, check again just before 17:00. Under the feeds there is a list of the other games in the same window, which makes it easy to move between games when one turns into a blowout.

Tips for a busy Sunday

If you follow more than one game, open each game page in its own browser tab from this list. Each header keeps its own score current, so you can see at a glance which game is close without opening a player. For the 1 p.m. Eastern window there can be eight or nine games at once, and the search box in the top bar finds a team faster than scrolling.

The guide to NFL kickoff times in UTC has a table of every window before and after the clock change, including the international games. If you also watch baseball in October, the MLB page lists the postseason games that share many of the same evenings.
