The UFC Edmonton start time is 5 p.m. Eastern (21:00 UTC) on Saturday, October 17, when the preliminary bouts begin at Rogers Place. The main card follows at 8 p.m. Eastern, which is midnight UTC going into Sunday, and it ends with a five-round welterweight fight between Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott. ESPN's listing has the whole event on Paramount+ in the United States. The Methstreams schedule shows both start times on your own clock, so you do not have to work out the offset yourself.

This is a heavily Canadian card. Twelve of the 26 fighters booked are from Canada, and 12 of the 13 bouts have a Canadian in them. The one exception is a women's flyweight prelim between two Americans, Katlyn Cerminara and Mackenzie Stiller.

Rogers Place runs on Mountain time, so fans in the building get the prelims in mid-afternoon. Everyone else can read their own row below. UK clocks have not gone back yet on October 17, so London is still on British Summer Time, five hours ahead of New York.

Those are the listed start times of each segment. The main event walks out last, after five other main-card fights, so it usually lands well after 8 p.m. Eastern. Fight cards move around when bouts end early or go the distance, and the order can also change during fight week if a bout falls off.

How does the fight card run?

ESPN lists seven prelims and six main-card bouts. In posted order, the prelims are SuYoung You (16-4) against Cody Chovancek (9-0) at bantamweight, Chelsea Chandler (7-4) against Melissa Croden (8-3) at women's bantamweight, Chad Anheliger (13-8) against Steven Koslow (6-1), Cerminara (18-6) against Stiller (6-1), two unbeaten heavyweights in Javad Mahjoub (5-0) and Joel Faglier (6-0), Julien LeBlanc (10-3) against Nick Galanti (8-1) at middleweight, and Tanner Boser (22-11-1) against Jhonata Diniz (9-2) at heavyweight.

Buckley and Malott: what the records say

Buckley comes in at 21-8 after two straight losses, both by unanimous decision. Kamaru Usman beat him in June 2025 in a Fight Night main event that carried Buckley's name, and Sean Brady beat him at UFC 328 in May this year. Before those two fights he had won six in a row, a run that included a knockout of Stephen Thompson at UFC 307 and a doctor's stoppage win over Colby Covington in December 2024. Fifteen of his 21 wins came by knockout or TKO, and he has no submission wins.

Malott is 14-2-1 and has won four straight: Trevin Giles and Kevin Holland on the scorecards, Charles Radtke and Gilbert Burns by knockout or TKO. The Burns fight in April was a Fight Night main event with his name on it. His last loss was to Neil Magny at UFC 297 in January 2024. His wins are split down the middle, six by knockout or TKO and six by submission.

The two fighters are built differently. ESPN lists Malott at 6 feet 1 inch with a 73-inch reach and an orthodox stance. Buckley is 5 feet 10 but has the longer reach at 76 inches, and he fights southpaw. Malott is 34 and Buckley is 32.

The co-main event

Blanchfield, 27, has won her last two, over Rose Namajunas in November 2024 and Tracy Cortez at UFC 322 in November 2025. Saturday is her first fight in 11 months. Jasudavicius, 37, beat Karine Silva in April on the card Malott headlined, after a loss to Manon Fiorot the previous October. Fiorot is a shared name in both records: she also beat Blanchfield in a main event in March 2024.

Other names to know

Cristian Pérez earned his place through Dana White's Contender Series in August, a year after he lost on the same show. Jourdain also came through the Contender Series, in October 2025, and has won four fights in a row going back to 2022. Landwehr has lost three straight, the latest to Cub Swanson at UFC 327 in April. Barriault has lost his last two, and Daukaus is coming off a loss to Bo Nickal at the UFC Freedom 250 event in June.

Nallo and Jasudavicius both fought on the April card that Malott headlined against Burns, so three of the 12 main-card fighters were on the same bill six months ago. Nelson, Malott and Jasudavicius were also on one card together in October 2025.
